On the second day of the FIS Telemark World Cup opening, the Swiss team dominated the women’s Sprint race in Hintertux, Austria with 3 skiers in the top 5. Amelie Reymond of Switzerland took first place with a total time of 2:08.51, +2.13 ahead of second place Johanna Holzmann of Germany, and +8.88 ahead of teammate Simone Oerlhi of Switzerland finishing in third. Bornskier ambassadors were shining in today’s World Cup taking respectively first, second, and seventh place with Jasmin Taylor of the United Kingdom! Congratulations to them and to all the participants.
It was a great day for Tobias Muller of Germany taking the win in today’s men’s Sprint. Muller did not make it on the podium yesterday for the opening race, despite winning last year’s overall World Cup season. Tobias Muller won with a total time of 1.57.19, +0.68 ahead of Philippe Lau of France, and +3.26 ahead of Trym Nygaard Loeken of Norway.
Next World Cup will take place tomorrow – Sunday November 30 – on the Hintertux Glacier with the women’s parallel sprint’s run at 10:00, followed by the men’s run. Price giving ceremony at 2:00 on Hintertux Glacier, Tuxer Fernerhaus.
