Amélie started Telemark skiing in January 2006 encouraged by her alpine skiing coaches and ex-Telemark World Cup racer and World Champion Françoise Besse -Matter.

Following an intense and exciting first season, Amélie took part in the Swiss Championships in Thyon that same season and won the junior title. After this encouraging result, She had an opportunity to train with the Swiss National Team in the fall of 2006 and eventually qualified for the 2007 World Cup in Norway and Germany, as well as the World Championships that same year were she surprised everyone with 5 gold medals!

Amelie started the 2013-14 season winning all three races of the FIS World Cup opening in Hintertux, Austria.
