Belle and Sebastien

Belle and Sebastien

During World War II in a small Alpine village near the Chamonix valley in the French Alps, Sebastian, a lonely child, meets and tames a wild dog he names “Belle”. Meanwhile the village men are convinced that Belle they call “the beast” kills their sheep and they try to get rid of her.

The peaceful village life is disrupted by the arrival of German soldiers in order to control villagers, stop and catch pass of Jews in the mountains. The Germans are desperate to find out who take them across to freedom.

Belle and Sebastian is the fabulous story of a child who would do anything to protect his friends, aided by his faithful companion. A remake produced by Nicolas Vanier of an older movie by the same name. Great movie!
