The day after the women’s slalom season opener, the men were on course today for their first race of the FIS Alpine World Cup season in the same resort of Levi, Finland with an exciting and highly competitive slalom.
The Norwegian team surely was pleased having 2 young skiers in the top four with Henrik Kristoffersen in first place and Sebastien-Foss Solevaag placing forth. Henrik Kristoffersen emerged onto the scene this time last year with his first career World Cup podium in Levi, setting the stage for a remarkable 2013-14 season that included a win in Schladming and an Olympic bronze medal in Sochi. Marcel Hirscher of Austria finished second and Felix Neureuther of Germany third.
The men next World Cup race will take place in Lake Louise, Canada with downhill training runs scheduled to begin on November 26, 2014.
