The former Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher, victim of a ski accident at the end of 2013, is no longer in a coma. He left the University Hospital of Grenoble, France to continue his long rehabilitation phase at the University Hospital of Vaud in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Schumacher was able to communicate with his wife and children which is very encouraging.
On April 4, the spokesman pointed out that the health of the seven-time F1 World Champion had improved and that he showed moments of consciousness and awakening.
Hospitalized since Dec. 29 in Grenoble, the 45 year old race car driver, was violently hit a rock head, skiing with his son and a group of friends in the resort of Méribel.
