Mountain Specter

Mountain Specter

For a specter to form in the skies, very special conditions must be met such as inclinations of the sun over a barrier whose shadow is projected on a partly cloudy sky, much different than the “specter of the Broken,” which projects the shadow of the observer, sometimes crowned with a circular rainbow around it, named “Glory”). This phenomenon was recently seen from the ski resort of Chamonix, France over its surrounding mountain peaks with a specter of rare intensity.
