Born Skier: “…”

Jenny grew up skiing in Australia at Perisher with her parents. A talented athlete in all sports, Jenny received a trip to train and compete in Austria at the age of 12, she never looked back!
Jenny made her Alpine World Cup debut in St Moritz Switzerland on 17 December 1999 at age 21. She also collected her first World Cup points (top-30 finish in a race) at this event.
Jenny competed in Alpine for 14 years, skiing in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City (Australia at the Winter Olympics) and in two world Championships, St Anton 2001 and St Moritz 2003. She retired from Alpine racing in January 2004. In June 2005, she decided that she wasn’t finished with skiing and started the Pro Ski Cross Tour to have some fun!
Jenny reached the podium a number of time throughout her Ski Cross career but had several injuries previous to the Vancouver Olympics and underwent two knee surgeries, one 4 months and the other 4 weeks before the Games. Jenny placed 13th in the Vancouver 2010 Olympics Winter Games. She underwent her fourth knee surgery (second ACL reconstruction) right after the Olympics in March 2010.
Jenny was back on the Ski Cross tour in 2011 collecting a bronze medal at the 2010–11 FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup in Canada and also place 5th at the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships 2011 in Deer Valley USA. She also recently collected Bronze at the Winter X Games in 2012.
She will continue for another Olympics ( 2014 Winter Olympics ) in Sochi, Russia making this her third Olympics.
In 2010, She was elected onto the Australia Olympic Committee’s Athletes Commission. Her passion is giving back to her sport and helping young kids and athletes strive for greatness.

Jenny is currently studying a Masters in Sport Studies which will give her the skills to stay in sport after her sporting career.
