On the second day of the FIS Telemark World Cup opening, the Swiss team dominated again both women and men’s races in Hintertux, Austria.
In the women’s race, Amelie Reymond of Switzerland and a BornSkier Ambassador took first place with a total time of 1:58.72 ahead of teammate Simone Oerlhi with a time of 2:04.58. Argeline Tan Bouquet of France took third place with a time of 2:07:30, followed by 2 Norwegians Mathilde Ilebrekke and Thea Smedheim Lunde. and sixth place for Jasmin Taylor of Great Britain and a BornSkier Ambassador, ahead of teammate Theresa Fichtl finishing seventh.
It was a great weekend for Tobias Muller of Germany and Nicolas Michel of Switzerland. Tobias Muller won the second race of the season, following his second place the day before and Nicolas Michel came third on that second day following his win the day before. We have an exciting season ahead of us!
Muller won with a total time of 1:46:67 ahead of a Swiss pair, Bastien Dayer with a time of 1:49:56 and Nicolas Michel in 1:50:18. Philippe Lau of France placing 4th is one of 6 frenchmen placing on the top 13.
