In the Ladies’ Sprint in Rauris, Austria, Amelie Reymond of Switzerland finished at her usual spot as she did in all other World Cup this season with a total time of 1:51:54 more than 10 seconds ahead of the Laura Grenier-Soliget of France finishing with a time of 2:02:41 and Simone Oehrli, another Swiss in third position with +11.92 from the lead. Good result for Jasmin Taylor of Great Britain who finished 7th with bib number 7… No surprises in the second Ladies’ Sprint, Amelie Reymond was first with a time of 1:58:72 ahead of teammate Simone Oehrli finishing second and Argeline Tan Bouquet in third. Jasmin Taylor ended up in 6th position.
In the Men’s competition, Nicolas Michel of Switzerland won the first Sprint with a time of 1:44:16 ahead of Tobias Mueller of Germany with a slight difference of +0.03 from the lead, and Philippe Lau of France with +2.81. In the second Sprint, replacing a Parallel Sprint event, Tobias Mueller won with a time of 1:46:67 ahead of a Swiss pair Bastien Dayer in second with +2.89 and Nicolas Michel in third with +3.51.
