One thing can be said with high certainty: snow in October and more recently over the weekend is telling us that winters are going to be around for a very long time, and they are not going to disappear like some climate scientists told us and despite so-called global warming.
It is true that winters of the last two decades have not been the greatest with warmer temperatures and a lack of snow but we now see more failed winter climate predictions as global temperatures drop providing similar conditions to what we had back in the 80’s and earlier with abundant snow conditions.
It was recently noted that tendencies one way or the other could be determined, based on historical data and repeating climate cycles that have emerged from the 130 years of data.
In any case, the last winter was more than satisfying for the majority of ski resorts worldwide and already looks promising for the upcoming 2013-2014 winter season. Get your skis and snowboards out and dress warm! Let is snow…
